WE SUFFER when the U.S. government restricts imports of these materials, causing shortages, higher prices, longer lead times and increased imports of finished, or value-added products from overseas. In many cases, the end result is lost American jobs.

WE SEEK to ensure that trade relief is implemented only after adequate consideration of, and with minimum disruption to, U.S. consuming industries.

CITAC'S MISSION is to promote a trade arena where U.S. consuming industries and their workers have access to global markets for raw materials and other imports that enhance the international competitiveness of U.S. firms.
