Speaker Biographies
WILLIAM
E. SOPKO is the founder and President of Stamco Industries, Inc.,
which he started in 1983 and now employs 140 people and has sales exceeding
$35 million. Based in Euclid, Ohio, Stamco is a metal stamping company
that produces braking systems for the automotive and aerospace industry.
Mr. Sopko has also
served as President of Wm. Sopko & Sons Co. since 1976. The company,
founded by his father, is the largest manufacturer and distributor of
precision grinding accessories in the US, and has a customer base of over
10,000 in all 50 US states and 10 foreign countries.
Mr. Sopko is a member
of several organizations, including the Society of Manufacturing Engineers,
the Industrial Distributor Association, the National Tooling and Machining
Association, and the Precision Metal Forming Association. He has a bachelors
degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Dayton,
Ohio.
